FAQs
What is SupaStan and what do I pay for?
We are a social network that helps content creators create content with the support of their fans with subscriptions and other payment. We are intermediaries between you fan and the content creators. Almost everything you pay goes to the content creator while we only take a small 8-10% commission for the management of the platform while the rest is taken by the payment processor.
Creators are solely responsible for determining (within the parameters for pricing on SupaStan) the pricing applicable to Fan/Creator Transactions and the Content to which you may be given access. All prices appear in USD only.
Fan Payments are exclusive of VAT, which shall be added at the current rate as applicable to Fan Payments.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To unsubscribe you must do it as a user by clicking on the same button with which you subscribed to the subscription. Or walking in MY SUBSCRIPTIONS and cancel your subscription from there.
If you cancel a Subscription you will continue to be permitted to view the relevant Creator's Content until the end of the subscription period in which you cancelled, after which no further payments will be taken from your payment card in respect of subscriptions to that Creator's profile (unless you choose to pay for a new Subscription to that Creator’s profile), and you will no longer be able to view the relevant Creator's Content.
You agree that you will not make unjustified requests for a refund in respect of any Fan/Creator Transaction or tip to a Creator, or unjustified chargeback requests of your payment card provider in relation to any Fan/Creator Transaction or tip to a Creator. If we consider that any request for a refund or chargeback request was made by you in bad faith, we have the right to suspend or delete your User account.
What payment processors do you use for payments?
We currently support processing payments through Stripe, PayPal, and YouMoney.
Here is a list of differences between them:
- The payment processing fees are usually lower with Stripe than with PayPal.
- Stripe allows renewing donations automatically, whereas PayPal currently requires donors to confirm every payment.
- Donations through Stripe can be secret, whereas PayPal always allows donors and recipients to see each other's names and email addresses.
- Stripe allows donating to multiple creators at once in some cases, whereas PayPal always requires separate payments.
- PayPal payments require redirecting the donor to PayPal's website, whereas Stripe is integrated into SupaStan.
- Stripe makes SEPA Direct Debits easy for European donors.
- Stripe allows creators to configure automatic payouts to their bank accounts.
- PayPal only supports 22 of the 133 currencies supported by SupaStan and Stripe.
- PayPal is available to creators in more than 100 countries, whereas Stripe only supports 42 countries in a suitable way.
Be assured that we do not collect or store your credit card information. All payments are handled by Stripe or Paypal, depending on your payment method. Once you reach the final stage of the checkout process, you will be taken directly to the Stripe / Pyapal secure site. Your credit card details are never accessible to us.
YouMoney is a Russian electronic payment service, formerly Yandex.Money. It allows users to create e-wallets for online purchases, transfers, and service payments, as well as issue virtual or plastic cards linked to a single balance. The service is part of the Sber ecosystem.
What is Wallet Credits?
You can prepay an amount on SupaStan (known as "Wallet Credits") which you can later use to make Fan Payments. Wallet Credits are subject to a maximum amount as determined by us from time to time. Interest will not accrue on Wallet Credits. Wallet Credits are non-refundable, which means that you are not entitled to a refund of any unused Wallet Credits.
Can I get refunds?
We will only issue refunds if you prove within 24 hours that you have been double-charged or the payment processor charged you for mistakes. To obtain the refund we need proof that the charge has been paid twice to be sent to info@SupaStan.com
However, remember that in most cases it is because you clicked twice in the subscription price without giving the system time to read.
What are the withdrawal limits for different withdrawal methods?
Limits for all users are set in USD or the equivalent in your bank's currency.
- The minimum withdrawal amount is 20 USD.
- The maximum single transaction amount is unlimited.
What is the service's commission?
SupaStan's commission is 10%, excluding payment system fees. A withdrawal fee is charged separately, depending on the payment method selected.
What is the withdrawal frequency on SupaStan?
Withdrawals from SupaStan are processed on the 15th of each month. The platform is not a financial service and does not store user funds. If your withdrawal has not been processed for more than 5 business days, please contact support.
How does SupaStan handle tax reporting?
SupaStan is not a tax agent, so each author is responsible for filing and paying taxes. You are responsible for filing your own tax returns and paying income tax on your income.
Donations are an exception: they are tax-exempt. All other payments (such as paid subscriptions, content sales, and merchandise sales) are considered income and are taxable.
What is KYC and why is it necessary?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is an identity verification process required for secure and transparent payment processing on SupaStan. We implemented it in response to the requirements of our financial partners. The main goal of KYC is to protect authors and their subscribers, as well as prevent fraud and other financial risks.
Verification is mandatory for all authors on SupaStan.
